ABOUT COACH

Josh Cate

Josh Cate has been honing his craft for over 30 years, earning black belts in Shingitai Jiu-jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and Judo. Boxing, Muay Thai, and wrestling round out the arts that Cate has studied. He continued his studies by pursuing his M.S. in Sports Psychology to help others achieve their BJJ, MMA, and Kickboxing goals. All of them contribute to his passion for spreading the arts through his masterful coaching.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that combines techniques from various martial arts, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and Muay Thai. This blend allows athletes to develop a versatile skill set, making MMA one of the most effective martial arts disciplines.

 

Training in MMA improves overall fitness and enhances self-defense abilities. Practitioners learn to strike effectively while mastering grappling and submission techniques.
